The Department for Emergencies has confirmed that two people died and a third was injured following a strong rain that lashed Chisinau Thursday afternoon. It was also reported about a man found dead under Chisinau's viaduct. Anatol Lebedev, senior official at the Department, has told Info-Prim Neo that during the rain three persons were washed down by a violent stream of rainwater pouring in front of a store in Chisinau's Botanica district on Decebal Blvd. Two of them, a 43-year-old male, whose identity has been already confirmed by family, and a still nameless woman, were thrust under a car parked in front of the store. A spokesperson for the Emergency Hospital has reported earlier that when the ambulance arrived, the woman was already dead, while the man died on the way to the hospital. The third victim, a 22-year-old, out-of-town woman, is now recovering at the Emergency Hospital after suffering brain concussion when hit by rain streams. Ion addition, Centru's office of the Emergencies Department said a body of a male in his mid 40s was found under the viaduct at 14:45, but offered no other details.
