Embassy of Moldova in Rome stops issuing biometric passports and visas

In the period between July 16 and July 4, the Embassy of Moldova in Italy, the consular section in Rome, will not issue biometric passports and visas for technical reasons. Asked by IPN to specify these reasons, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ana Taban said that she does not know them.

The citizens who need biometric passports and visas can go to the diplomatic missions in other Italian towns. The section in Rome will issue only identity cards.

The identity cards and passports at the Embassy of Moldova in Rome can be asked for only on Monday. Thus, applications for passports will restart to be accepted on July 7.
