The traditional summer concert organized by the Embassy of Germany in Chisinau this year will be themed “Through Music in Europe”, Info-Prim Neo reports. “It became a tradition for us to close the concert season every year, during ten years already, which is half of the period of Moldova’s independence. It is perhaps one of the largest concerts,” German Ambassador in Chisinau Berthold Johannes said in a news conference. According to the diplomat, owing to the fruitful cooperation with the concert’s partners, the Embassy of Germany managed to make a name in the area of musical projects. “This year we propose a musical bunch of European works, including by George Enescu, Ciprian Porumbescu, Frederic Chopin and other great names,” said Berthold Johannes. Musicologist Liliana Tudose, the author of the concert program, said only several days remained until the traditional summer concert of the Embassy of Germany. The spectators will meet such Moldovan artists as Stefan Negura, Ionel Manciu, Liliana Marin and the famous Chamber Choir directed by Ilona Stepan. The tenth concert will take place at the Summer Theater in “Valea Morilor” Park on July 17. Entrance is free of charge.
