The Embassy of Germany in Chisinau has started to collect micro-project proposals from Moldovan citizens for 2015, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the Embassy, the micro-projects, compared with the large projects, can be gathered and implemented much faster and with less effort. For example, they can offer additional financing for some of the economic projects implemented autonomously or support projects promoting social cohesion.
The projects must contain an economic factor as, for instance, the sale of goods made by the applicant, reduction in current costs or promotion of professional formation. The project is aimed at improving the living standards in Moldova in the long term.
The applicants can benefit from financing if they cannot fully finance the project with own funds, but the own contribution increases the possibility of getting financing. The project is not only an educative measure. It also has a component allowing purchasing equipment. The financial support is offered one time and does not imply repeated obligations on the part of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The project is intended for private individuals and firms. As usual, the financial support is in the amount of up to €13,000. In exceptional case, if he project makes a considerable contribution for the people’s benefit and to economic development, greater financing is possible.
The Embassy will collect applications for financing from November 10, 2014 until January 15, 2015. The applications can be submitted personally, by mail and email. The application form and contact data of the Embassy are available on www.chisinau.diplo.de/microproiecte.
The Embassy of Germany has supported small initiatives since 2004.
