The Embassy of France has been picketed for an hour by representatives of the public associations Hyde Park and Amnesty International Moldova, who expressed their disagreement with the expulsion of Roma people from France, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Romanian citizens including Romanies and Bulgarians are discriminated in the European Union, expelled by medieval methods and taken to the country from where they came by force,” said Oleg Brega, a Hyde Park member. The protesters consider that France gives a strange example of discrimination. “Other ethnic groups might be expelled tomorrow, sent from one country to another. We consider this is an unacceptable Fascist-like behavior.” The protesters said they will continue to picket the Embassy of France and voiced hope they will manage to get an answer from the French diplomatic authorities. According to those attending, representatives of 24 NGOs that form part of the Nondiscrimination Coalition will join the next protests.
