Two elderly persons burned to death in their home in Chisinau’s Botanica district last night. The house was fully engulfed by the flames, which affected also a part of the roof of a building situated nearby, IPN reports.

According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the firefighters managed to localize the fire at midnight and extinguished it at about 3am. Inside the house they found the bodies of a man aged 73 and of a woman of 71.

The cause of fire hasn’t been yet found out. Firefighters urge the population to immediately call the 901 Service when they witness situations of risks so that immediate action is taken.
