The Chisinau City Hall said 11 streets in the capital city and four aces ways to suburban settlements will be repaired in the course of 2019. Asphalting works in the five districts of the city will start in April, IPN reports, quitting a press release of the municipality.

The program to repair and maintain roads was presented by acting mayor Ruslan Codreanu in a press briefing on March 12. Under the program, 11 streets or about 89,000 square meters of roadway will be fully repaired and works on four access ways to the suburbs, on 19,000 square meters, will be initiated.

The spring road repair program will cover 63,000 square meters of roadway. There will also be repaired sidewalks and access roads to yards of apartment buildings on a total area of 60,000 square meters. In districts, there will be set up 2,500 parking places, by 450-500 places in each district.

The works were projected to be completed on August 30. A sum of 100 million lei was earmarked for road repair and maintenance in 2019.
