The Moldovan weightlifter Elena Erighina won three silver medals in the 81 kg weight category at the European Championship in Sofia. She lifted 103 kg in the snatch and 131 kg in the throw.
With a total of 235 kg, Poland’s Weronika Zielinska-Stubinska edged Erighina out by 1 kg, taking three gold medals. Meanwhile, Elena’s sister, Anastasia Cîlcic, took the 6th place in the same category.
In men’s 102 kg category Tudor Bratu also placed 6th with a total of 385 kg.
