From August 1, the foreign citizens will be able to apply for visas in electronic format at the embassies of Moldova. The date was set by the Government by a decision approved today, July 11, IPN reports.

The information electronic visa management system was created in cooperation with the E_Government Center and was financed by the World Bank.

By making changes to the previously approved decision, the Government removed the compulsoriness of presenting the travel ticket when applying for a visa. When submitting the documents, one needs only the ticket reservation as, when the application is examined, it is not known if the applicant will be issued with an entry visa for Moldova or not.
