From 2014, the electronic clearance of exported goods will be used at all the customs posts, in accordance with the regulations approved by the Government. At the customs offices Chisinau, Ungheni, Sculeni and Bender, the electronic clearance will be accessible immediately after the regulations are published in the Official Gazette, IPN reports.
The director of the Customs Service Tudor Balitski said the companies possessing digital signature will be able to fill out the export statement in electronic format, in the office or at a Tablet PC connected to the customs information system, within 7 minutes. The direct contact between the economic entity and the customs officer will be eliminated. The procedure will become transparent and will be supervised online.
Over 300,000 customs declarations are submitted annually. A number of procedures were obligatory when filling them out, including going to the customs office by the vehicle loaded with goods, stationing oneself in the customs control area, use of seals, covering of costs for Xeroxing of documents and of brokerage services. The exporters thus lost time and sustained additional costs, said the director of the Customs Service.
It is estimated that one third of all the customs declarations will be submitted in electronic format from next year.
