The electricity charges will be by several bani lower. The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) examined suppliers’ requests to increase the charges. The regulator decided yet to reduce the charges, but slightly, IPN reports.

Household consumers served by Premier Energy will pay a charge of 2.34 lei/kWh (without VAT). Currently, final consumers whose installations are connected to low-voltage power lines pay 2.39 lei/kWh (excluding VAT). Premier Energy asked for a charge of 2.77 lei/kWh.

Final consumers whose installations are connected to medium-voltage networks will pay 1.87 lei/kWh (without VAT), compared to the current charge of 1.90 lei kWh. For final consumers whose installations are connected to high-voltage networks, ANRE approved a charge of 1.68 lei/kWh, compared to 1.71 lei/kWh (excluding VAT) at present.

The situation is similar with regard to JSC “Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord”. For final consumers whose installations are connected to low-voltage networks (residential consumers), ANRE approved a charge of 2.84 lei/kWh. The supplier asked for a charge of 3.01 lei/kWh, as opposed to 2.88 lei/kWh (excluding VAT) at present.

For final consumers whose installations are connected to medium-voltage networks, ANRE approved a charge of 1.90 lei/kWh, compared to 1.97 lei/kWh (excluding VAT) at this time.

The new electricity charges take effect the day ANRE’s decision is published in the Official Gazette.
