Electrical Transport Agency accounts remain frozen
The City Hall decided to allot the Chisinau Electrical Transport Agency (RTEC) more funds as its accounts remain frozen because of a 15 million lei older debt claimed by the Ukrainian company Electroplus, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca declared Monday, June 21, during the City Hall meeting, the “double robbery can be stopped at the trial on July1”. Till then, RTEC will receive enough funding to cover its necessities. Meanwhile, the money on RTEC accounts remains frozen until court’s ruling.
RTEC manager Gheorghe Morgoci declared the money that had not been frozen was used to pay the electricity bill for April. However, RTEC owes 5.1 million lei for electricity consumed in May and salary arrears.
Company’s accounts remain frozen although there is no irreversible court ruling. The Mayor is suspicious about the debts accumulated 12 years ago. According to the City Hall Legal Department, the Prosecutor General's Office is examining the file dilatorily and doesn’t take into consideration the information from the Court of Accounts, which inspected RTEC 4 times over the last 8 years and found no debts owed to the Ukrainian firm.
