The electricity tariffs have been reduced. As of July 1, household users connected to the low-voltage power lines managed by Gas Natural Fenosa will pay 1.79 lei/kWh, by 0.20 lei less than at present, IPN reports.
Under the decision taken by the National Agency for Energy Regulation on June 15, the tariff for the household users connected to medium-voltage power lines will be by 0.22 lei lower and will be 1.60 lei/kWh. The consumers connected to high-voltage power lines will pay 1.34 lei/kWh, by 0.19 lei less than now.
The calculations were done taking into account the purchase price of electric power stipulated in the contracts for this year, the tariffs for transportation services, the basic costs associated with the power distribution and supply activities and the distribution losses sustained in 2017.
Update (11:50am): The Agency also approved lower power tariffs for the consumers in northern Moldova. For those connected to medium-voltage power lines, the new tariff is 1.66 lei/kWh, while for those connected to low-voltage power lines – 1.91 lei/kWh.
