Electric power supplies on the rise
The electricity purchases made by power distribution companies and eligible consumers in the first quarter of this year increased by 3.8% compared with the corresponding period last year, to 1.1 billion kWh, while consumers’ purchases rose by 4.5% to 926.1 million kWh, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE).
RED Union Fenosa purchased the largest volume of power – 814 million kWh. RED Nord bought 179.38 million kWh, RED Nord-Vest – 93.9 million kWh, while the eligible Rezina consumer SA Ciment–Lafarge– 15.3 million kWh.
The technological consumption and commercial losses in the power distribution networks fell by 0.7% to 142.97 million kWh. The average indicator decreased by 0.48% to 13.56%. The highest rate was recorded by RED Union Fenosa – 15.55% (122.73 million kWh). The rates of RED Nord and RED Nord-Vest were within the limit of 12.5% that was included by the ANRE in the tariff for all the power distribution companies in 2011. RED Union Fenosa exceeded this level by 3.05%.
