Electric power plant to be built in southern Moldova
An electric power plant will be constructed in Burlaceni village of Cahul district. The construction works will start in July and will last by 2012, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Government’s press service.
The plant will be situated on a plot that is 44 hectares in area. It was specially purchased for the purpose. The project was submitted to European organizations for examination. A number of 1,200 workplaces will be created at the plant.
A similar plant works in the Macedonian capital of Skopje, while two more will be built in Romania and Germany. The plant in Skopje shows that such stations meet all the ecological requirements. The Burlaceni plant’s capacity will be two times greater than of the Macedonian plant, said Andrei Sancheli, the head of the Moldovan-Romanian-English Corporation “MoldIteraElectric”.
