The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) approved new electricity tariffs for end-users. The consumers supplied by Gas Natural Fenosa through 0.4 kW power lines will pay 1.58 de lei per kWh, as against 1.48 lei until now, the rise being 6.8%, Info-Prim Neo reports. The end-users supplied through 6 -10 kW power lines, which include the not very large companies, the schools and other institutions, will pay 1.40 lei per kWh, as opposed to 1.34 lei until now, while the large companies connected to the 35 -110 kW power lines – 1.17 lei per kWh, in contrast to 1.07 lei at present. The new tariffs for the end-users supplied by RED Nord will be 1.71 lei kWh (0.4 kW lines) and 1.57 lei kWh (6 -10 kW lines), up 8%. The tariff for the consumers supplied by RED Nord Vest through 0.4 kW power lines was raised to 1.73 lei per kWh, while for those supplied through 6 -10 kW power lines – to 1.57 lei kWh, as against 1.45 lei at present. The companies connected to the 35 -110 kW high voltage power lines will pay 1.20 lei kWh as until now. Initially, the power distribution companies asked for a rise of 9 - 12%. The ANRE satisfied partially the request of the state-run company “Moldelectrica” to increase the power transportation charge. Initially, “Moldelectrica” requested a charge of 10.34 bani per kWh, as opposed to 6.76 bani at present, but the Agency accepted a charge of 8.02 bani per kWh, without VAT. The new electricity tariffs were set following the 13.2% rise in the price of power purchased from Ukrainian suppliers and the Cuchurgan Power Plan. Also, the price of power bought from local producers increased by 22%, while the power transportation charge by 19%.
