The Public Services Agency will individualize the electric cars with special license plates. These will contain green letters and digits against a white background, IPN reports.

By such a move, the Republic of Moldova will join other countries that have applied such a practice for many years.

Recently, the Government approved amendments to the law on energy efficiency with the aim of popularizing e-mobility and encouraging the other traffic participants to use such units of transport.

In 2021, the State Transport Register of the Public Services Agency included 1,132 electric cars and 26,265 hybrid cars. In 2022, there were 1,973 electric cars and 31,643 hybrid cars.
