The electoral period that precedes the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019 starts on December 10 and will end when the election results are confirmed by the Constitutional Court, IPN reports.
The calendar programs includes the informing of voters and the familiarization of electoral functionaries with the particularities of voting under the mixed electoral system and also the constitution of the inferior electoral bodies and the organization of their activity.
The nomination of candidates for the post of MP and their registration as election runners will start 60 days before the election day, which is on December 26 this year.
The election campaign for all the electoral contenders registered by the Central Election Commission and by electoral councils in single-member constituencies starts 30 days before the election day, which is on January 25, 2019.
The Central Election Commission warns that any electoral agitation action before the official start of the election campaign is a violation of the electoral legislation.
