Electoral competitors to shortly announce amounts to spend in race
Immediately after the Central Election Commission (CEC) confirms the people responsible for the parties' finances in the electoral race, they will have to open special accounts in banks, called “Electoral acounts.”
Once in 2 weeks, the electoral competitors will report to the CEC information about the inflows and expenditures, Info-Prim Neo learns from the Calendar Program of the actions provided by the Election Code regarding the July 29 elections.
According to the document, till July 7, i.e. 21 days after the start of the race, the electoral contestants are to declare in media the money and other support they got for the elections.
The Calendar Program requires the banks and the financial clerks to inform the CEC about the money transferred to the electoral contestant. The procedure will be done within 24 hours after the transfer is made.
The threshold of the amount that may be transferred for the elections, established by the CEC, is 7,500,000 lei for political parties and 500,000 lei for independent candidates.
