The Chisinau District Election Council has announced that on Tuesday, April 17, it will start to register the files of the electoral competitors for the general elections of June 3. The decision was taken by the members of the Election Council on Friday, April 13. As from Tuesday, the electoral competitors can submit the necessary documents every day (except holidays), between 9.00am and 6.00pm. The lunch time is set at 1.00pm-2.00mp. The office of the Chisinau District Election Council is in the premises of the Chisinau City Hall. The Council’s chairman Ion Cretu stated that, according to the Electoral Code, the documents shall be submitted at least 30 days before the date of elections, that is until May 4. According to Cretu, if a larger number of electoral competitors will come on Tuesday, at 9.00am, the Regulations stipulate that their order will be decided by toss. The Chisinau District Election Council (CECMC) convened for the first time on Friday, at which by a secrete vote, the chairman, vice chairman and secretary of CECMC have been elected. Thus, Ion Cretu, proposed by the Chisinau Municipal Council, was appointed as chairman. Vice chairman is Galina Bejenaru, on the part of the Communist Party and secretary – Aliona Cazacu, on the part of the Chisinau Municipal Council. The Chisinau District Election Council is composed of 11 members.
