The parliamentary elections of February 24, 2910 will be monitored by more than 4,000 national and international observes. The Central Election Commission on February 22 completed the procedure for accrediting observers, IPN reports.
CEC president Alina Russu after the meeting said there were accredited 3,412 national observers on behalf of 20 public organizations and 776 international observers on behalf of 57 international institutions.
Alina Russu reminded that under the Election Code, each electoral contender can ask the district election councils to accredit observers at polling places in the constituencies where they run.
