Election contenders can register from October 4

Those who want to run for MP as independent candidates must collect at least 2,000-signatures in their support and poll 2% of the vote in the November 28 early legislative elections, the secretary of the Central Election Commission Iurie Ciocan said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The political parties that want to take part in elections must lodge an application, the official report on participation in elections of the party's senior body, the list of candidates, the name and surname of every candidate, the biographical data and the tax returns of the candidates for the last two years with the CEC from October 4 until October 28. The independents must fulfill the same conditions, except for the official report of the party's senior body. The electoral blocs must be composed of two or more parties. The election threshold for political parties is 4%, while for electoral blocs 7% if they are composed of two parties and 9% if they consist of three and more parties. A draw will be held daily at the CEC starting at 17:00 to decide the order in which the parties will be written in ballots, if more than two parties are registered during one day. Iurie Ciocan said the electoral rolls used in the September 5 constitutional referendum were sent back to mayor's offices for revision. The lists will be then sent to the CEC with the mayor's signature and the seal of the mayor's office.
