A house in Valcinet village of Calarasi district caught fire on Saturday morning. Most probably the fire started from an item of clothing or an object that stayed near the stove for a long time. The firefighters extinguished the fire quickly, but it proved fatal for an 81-year-old woman, who died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Liliana Puscasu, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the fire destroyed the third part of the house. The woman lived in the same yard with her son, but the man said he did not see how his mother’s house caught fire. A woman and her three children aged between 7 and 12 suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning in another fire. The four members of the family were taken to the hospital.
