Eighty-nine suspect A (H1N1) flu virus cases reported in Moldova

A 23-year-old man from Chisinau was admitted to “Toma Ciorba” Hospital on suspicion that he got the A (H1N1) influenza virus. Anatol Proca, coordinating doctor of the Chisinau Emergency Station, has told Info-Prim Neo that the young man consulted the family doctor after he had flu symptoms. The doctor called the ambulance immediately. Supposedly, the man entered into contact with a sick person from Dubasari and might be infected. Eighty-nine suspect cases of A (H1N1) flu virus have been reported in Moldova so far. The virus was detected in 12 cases. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau ambulance doctors were called to 746 addresses. They dealt with 57 cases of acute viral infections, 77 cases of trauma and three brain strokes.
