The second round of mayoral elections will take place in eight settlements of Moldova on Sunday, May 30, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Central Election Commission announced new local elections in 15 settlements. Seven of them elected their mayors in the first round on May 16. In the other eight settlements, the two candidates who polled most of the votes will compete in the second round. The second round of mayoral elections will be held on Sunday in Sangera town (Chisinau municipality), Beleavinti village (Briceni), Ciolacu Nou village (Falesti), Floresti town, Carpineni village (Hancesti), Rusestii Noi village (Ialoveni), Seliste village (Orhei), and Sestaci village (Soldanesti). The electronic register of voters will be again tested in five polling places in Sangera.
