Eight persons holding public posts and a legal entity are investigated within four criminal cases started over the concession of the Chisinau International Airport that were merged in September 2019, Parliament Deputy Speaker Alexandru Slusari wrote on Facebook, posting the answers he received from the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office to his previous requests for information, IPN reports.

According to prosecutors’ answers, the persons are accused of swindle in considerable amounts, appropriation of funds and money laundering by an organized criminal group and abuse of power. “It is a whole bouquet. I hope a lot that Iurii Leancă, Valeriu Lazar and Dodon’s relative Tudor Copaci are among those eight,” wrote the MP.

Alexandru Slusari also said that a criminal case concerning the National Chisinau Arena was started in October 2019, over appropriation of funds, abuse of power and exceeding of authority committed in the interests of an organized criminal group. “Half a year has passed since then. Society waits for palpable results in these cases and in the other resonant cases, by holding the culprits, not scapegoats accountable, by confiscating their property,” he wrote.
