Eight new cases of flu were confirmed by laboratory tests in the municipality of Chisinau last week. Another 332 persons are suspected of being infected. In Monday's ordinary meeting of City Hall officials, the Heal Division's head Luminita Suveica said 813 cases of acute respiratory infection were recorded in the capital city during a week, Info-Prim Neo reports. A special work regime was instituted in the municipal public medical-sanitary institutions. The activities to early detect seasonal flu, mainly in pregnant women and children, have been stepped up. The minibuses running on routes travel more often in order to avoid the units of transport from being crowded. The municipal route administrators were obliged to make sure that the minibuses are disinfected and aired daily. A number of 68 cases of flu have been confirmed in the municipality of Chisinau so far this year.
