Eight education institutions from five districts remain partially or fully closed owing to the large number of cases of acute respiratory infections among children reported there. According to the Ministry of Education, the largest number of these institutions are situated in Vulcanesti district, IPN reports.

The nursery schools No. 1, No.7 and No.8, located in Vulcanesti district, stopped work on March 4 and are to resume work on March 13. The secondary school of Budai village of Telenesti district was closed for the period between March 10 and 15, while the nursery-crèche of Lupa-Recea, Straseni, was closed on March 6 for an indefinite period.

The second and third graders of the Theoretical Lyceum “Hristo Botev” of Valea Perjei, Taraclia, do not go to school. In Cantemir district, the sixth graders of Enichioi village do not go to the local secondary school. In both of the settlements, the students will return to classes on March 16.
