Eight ambassadors to serve in several countries simultaneously

The Government on March 30 approved the proposal to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration to appoint Moldova’s Ambassador to Hungary Oleg Țulea also as Ambassador to Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina with residence in Budapest, IPN reports.

Violeta Agrici, who serves as Ambassador to Spain, will also hold the office of Ambassador to Algeria with residence in Madrid. Moldova’s Ambassador to Turkey Dmitri Croitor is also proposed for the post of Ambassador to Lebam and Egypt with residence in Ankara. Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Victor Haruța will also serve as Ambassador to Saudi Arabia with residence in Abu Dhabi, while Ambassador to the Czech Republic Alexandru Codreanu also as Ambassador to the Holy See with residence in Prague.

The Government also approved the appointment of Ambassador to Italy Anatolie Urecheanu as Ambassador to San Marino and Malta with residence in Rome. Ambassador to the U.S. Eugen Caras will also represent the Republic of Moldova in Mexico with residence in Washington, while Ambassador to Bulgaria Anatol Ciubuc – also in Albania and North Macedonia.


Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi said the appointment of ambassadors to several posts simultaneously will strengthen Moldova’s dialogue with the given states, which include countries that produce COVID-19 vaccines.

The relevant draft decrees will be submitted to President for signing.
