Seven Moldovans competed in the Under-20 Balkan Indoor Athletics Championships in Bulgaria. Two of them won bronze medals, IPN reports.

Egor Sirbu ranked third in the 1 500 meter race, while Vadim Doscalov finished third in triple jump. Another two Moldovans managed to enter Top 5. Denis Cernei came in fourth in the 400 meter race, while Nina Capatina ranked fifth in weight throw. Nina has chances to qualify for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

In the team rankings, Moldova took the ninth position out of 17 countries.
