“edUKation” for high school students

The high school students can apply for the “edUKation” contest that will be held between November 15 and 30, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Petru Dascalescu, the director of EXCEL, one of the companies that organized the competition, the objective of the contest is to stimulate competitiveness in the talented students of Moldova and offer broader possibilities for asserting themselves and sowing their abilities in languages and exact sciences.
A fund of scholarships for studying abroad and other prizes were prepared for the selected students, in partnership with INTO University Partnerships and other international education centers, the quoted source said.
The contest will have three successive stages, at different categories. The first category – sciences (physics, chemistry, mathematics) and a test in English – applies to eleventh and twelfth graders with average or high proficiency in English.
The tenth-twelfth graders that are highly proficient in English can compete in the second category – the English language.
The deadline for applications is November 12.
The competition is organized by the Educational Assistance Center EXCEL and the Private High School “Columna”, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Youth of Moldova, INTO University Partnerships LTD, the UK, Globa Education Alliance Ltd, Switzerland, “Alpine Center” – The Swiss Business School, Greece, and IBS – International Business School, Hungary.
