Education Ministry on alert for outbreaks in schools
Given the present epidemiological situation in the country, the Ministry of Education and Youth (MEY), together with the Centre for Preventive Medicine, has recommend all the education institutions to take a series of measures to prevent outbreaks in schools, Info-Prim Neo reports.
A directive issued by Education Minister Victor Tvircun informs the heads of education divisions and institutions of the growing number of acute viral infections among children (parotitis, flu, acute respiratory diseases).
The Ministry recommends all institutions to respect strictly the necessary level of temperature and to clean daily the classrooms with disinfectants. At the same time, the Ministry interdicts the personnel that show symptoms of parotitis, flu and acute respiratory diseases, to come to work.
If foci of acute respiratory diseases or flu appear in educational establishments, additional measures will be needed: to identify and isolate infected children, to intensify the ventilation regime, to clean the rooms with disinfectants, etc.
