Education Division will recommend owners of camps in Vadul lui Voda to return part of money to parents of evacuated children
The General Division of Education, Youth and Sport will recommend the administrations of the summer camps located in Vadul lui Voda town to return a part of the money to the parents of the children evacuated on Saturday, July 26.
Initially, the children were moved to summer camps set up in the secondary schools of Ciocana district in Chisinau. Then, the parents took them home. The group of children from Belarus that were holidaying in Vadul lui Voda will be also sent home ahead of time.
The Education Division’s head Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb has told Info-Prim Neo that most of the children have been in camps for the panned period of time. The round was not completed only in the camps Neptun, Coroana and several others. As the majority of camps are private, the Division cannot oblige the administrations to give the money back. Yet, it will urge the managers to make a decision for every case apart. But it would be a problem because the money was used to purchase food, teaching aids and other goods, Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said.
The children had been evacuated from summer camps as there was a risk of floods following the rise in the level of water in the Nistru River. The other people holidaying in the recreational areas located on the bank of the Nistru were evacuated also on Saturday. The access to the zone is restricted.
