“Dorin Chirtoaca is a politician, not an administrator and he would do better in Parliament than in the City Hall,” Communist lawmaker Eduard Musuc said in a debate program centering on the local elections of this year, broadcast by Publika TV on Monday evening, Info-Prim Neo reports. Eduard Musuc said the PCRM does not yet have a candidate for the post of mayor of Chisinau, but is to take a decision in this respect. He assured that the Communists Party's candidate for Chisinau mayor will be supported by as powerful and well-prepared team. Musuc considers that Dorin Chirtoaca would do better as a party leader. For his part, vice president of the PLDM Alexandru Tanase in the same program said the party that he represents is ready for the local elections. He did not confirm the rumors that he may be fielded by the PLDM for mayor of Chisinau. The PLDM is yet to choose a candidate. The competition and results of the local elections of 2011 will be different from those of 2007, Alexandru Tanase said. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca, who is the vice president of the PL, said recently that he will run for the second term of office. The leader of the AMN Serafim Urecheanu, ex-mayor of Chisinau, also said that he may run in the local elections this year.
