Eduard Baghirov: Danger of mass revolts persists in Moldova

The danger of mass revolts persist in Moldova, considers Russian blogger Eduard Baghirov, who was accused by the Moldovan prosecutors of being one of the organizers of the mass rioting in central Chisinau in April 2009.  Baghirov stated for the paper “Panorama” that the Moldovan politicians forgot about the people and have been lately preoccupied only with the own interests, IPN reports.

The Russian blogger said that if somebody wanted to repeat the April 7, 2009 events, they would need only money and intelligent specialists from outside Moldova. Unlike 2009, today the Moldovan people are much more hardened and, in case of public disorder, it would be much harder to avoid destruction and casualties.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Moldova accuses Eduard Baghirov of forming part of the criminal group that organized the mass disorder of April 2009. On October 19, 2011, Eduard Baghirov was put on the wanted list after he fled from house arrest to Russia.
