A homeowner from Cepeleuți village, Edineț district, suffered first- and second-degree burns over 20% of his body after a fire engulfed his house. The man was rescued by the Emergency Medical Assistance Service and taken to the hospital.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Inspectorate employees were called to extinguish a fire on the evening of August 29. The 112 call was received at 21:25. According to preliminary information, the fire broke out inside a room of the house.
The fire was extinguished by the fire brigade without it spreading. The cause and circumstances of the fire are being investigated.
