Edelweiss this spring is launching a new social and educational campaign intended for the young people of Moldova. The Edelweiss School of Ambassadors is designed for ninth graders who will be encouraged to continue their studies and to make their first choices related to profession so as to build a career and assert themselves, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the foundation.
In the framework of the project, the young people will be helped and guided by teachers, experts and trainers to identify their passions and vocation, to choose the area of interest and the career they want to follow. Within the Edelweiss School of Ambassadors, the young people will attend free courses in foreign languages, practical notions in IT, communication and psychology. There will be organized fact-finding trips to different companies so that the students see by themselves what doing a job means.
“The Edelweiss School of Ambassadors is an exclusive project that we will implement for the first time this year. We will start with Hancesti district, where we will organize the first event of this campaign on March 24-25. We invite the young people from the district to the Big Hall of the Home of Culture of Hancesti town, where we will stage the thematic course “Professional orientation of teenagers”. Here, the students and parents will be able to find out more about the conception of our project. We will present examples and the conditions of enrolling at the free courses of the Edelweiss School of Ambassadors,” said the foundation’s executive director Lara Moraru.
Such projects for helping the students to choose a career and encouraging them to attend specialty courses are organized annually in a number of European states, it is said in the press release.
