Edelweiss Foundation donates musical instruments to Stefan Voda school “Maria Biesu”

The most talented children of the arts school “Maria Biesu” in Stefan Voda town received a set of musical instruments to the value of 41,000 lei from Edelweiss Foundation, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the organization's Public Relations Department. Representatives of the foundation handed over the present to the children on the first school day. Immediately after receiving the instruments, the young talents staged a concert for the representatives of Edelweiss and their teachers. “Moldova is known for its musical talents who conquered the world at hundreds of international concerts and festivals. This gift is designed to support the young talents who want very much to become famous in the world of arts,” Edelweiss project coordinator Lara Castravet said in the meeting with children and teachers. Ludmila Ruscanovschi, the head of the arts school “Maria Biesu”, said the musical instruments are a useful and long-awaited present. “We are proud of our talented children, but our musical instruments are not of the best quality. Now we will be able to take part in different musical contests and festivals,” she said. The Edelweiss Foundation is a nongovernmental, non-profit and apolitical organization established by businessman Vlad Plahotniuc with the aim of creating equal opportunities for the talented people of Moldova. Its mission is to contribute to the development of society by implementing projects in culture, education, social sphere, economy and environment.
