All the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure’s decisions and policies will be drafted in a collective manner, and after all the problems are identified, the root causes will be treated, not the symptoms, stated minister Vadim Brînzan at a working meeting held to discuss transport issues.
According to a press release from the MoEI, the minister said he wanted an improved model of working based on cooperation. Vadim Brînzan said there are a lot of issues in the transport sector and that he received numerous requests, which are mainly related to fares and to the difficulties encountered by carriers in their relations with the authorities.
The meeting also addressed the problem of unauthorized transportation of passengers, including by taxis. According to Vadim Brînzan transportation services must be authorized, safe and based on fair competition.
At present, there are 2,605 carriers providing haulage and passenger transportation services on both domestic and international routes.
