The state-run company Moldova’s Railways offers discounts of up to 20% on tickets for the new train route Chisinau-Iasi, Socola station, throughout October, IPN reports.
The train route was launched today, September 30, at 6:17am. The train had been earlier modernized in Romania’s Pascani. The train No. 821 will arrive at the Socola Railway Station at 10:28am. Between September 30 and October 30, all the passengers will benefit from reductions on tickets, while the students will enjoy discounts permanently.
The train tickets now cost 132 lei for the third class, instead of 165 lei, 148 lei for the second class, instead of 185 lei, and 173 lei for the first class, instead of 250 lei. A number of 120 tickets were sold on the first day. The train has a seating capacity of 250.
