The Transnistrian administration declared a state of emergency in the economy in connection with the “regional situation concerning the provision of the Transnistrian region with natural gas”, IPN reports.
The local administration said the supply of the population with energy resources is the key priority. In October, the region experienced a shortage of 36.9 million cubic meters of natural gas.
In the industrial sector, the amount of gas used by enterprises was limited in a move that is expected to reduce gas consumption by 22 million cubic meters this month.
