Economic and social-political crisis in Moldova deepens – Serafim Urecheanu
The economic and social-economic crisis in Moldova grows to a considerable size, and the communist government only mimics some reforms, Serafim Urecheanu, chairman of “Moldova Noastra” Alliance declared at a press conference.
According to him, because it is impossible to export wine to the Russian Federation and other countries, the budget lost USD 250 mln. There is no agreement on natural gas supply after January 1, 2007, large arrears to the budget were accumulated, the GDP has significantly decreased, and the price of medicaments went up about 170%.
The leader of AMN says that Moldova will have to take an intermediary examination on European integration, because together with the integration of Romania and Bulgaria into the EU, the European policy regarding Moldova will change. Urecheanu declared that half way to getting Moldova-EU Action Plan fulfilled, one can observe imitations of reforms by those who try to rule the country. According to the same source, at the official visit of the Parliamentary delegation of Moldova to Brussels, it was proved that many European MPs do not know the real state of affairs of the Republic of Moldova.
Serafim Urecheanu considers that the task AMN assigned in front of its voters and namely to eliminate communist government is possible to achieve in 2007, because the economical disaster deepens, and the social-political situation of Moldova becomes more and more tensioned.
