Ecologist Party registered as election contender amid dispute

The registration of the Ecologist Party “Green Alliance” as election contender was accompanied by disputes. The party’s deputy chairman Anatol Prohnitski Friday requested the Central Election Commission not to register the party as participant in the elections as the Greens’ leader Vladimir Braga included foreign persons in the list of candidates without his colleagues’ consent, Info-Prim Neo reports. Anatol Prohnitski said he does not want to run in elections together with foreign candidates. However, he did not withdraw from the list on which he is the 19th. “The persons who came with Braga are foreign to the party. They did not work, but want benefits,” said Chiril Trofimciuc, who announced he decided to leave the party when the problems concerning the electoral list arouse. For his part, Vladimir Braga said the accusations made by his colleagues are a cheap show as the Ecologist Party has a well-prepared team. CEC president Eugen Stirbu said this situation is an internal party problem that must be remedied without the Commission’s help.
