TheEcologist Green Party considers that the political system of Moldova suffers from chronic diseases that, regardless of who rules the country, affect the people. The party called on the European Union bodies to send European specialists to Chisinau to work on the contest commissions for selecting the heads of the main state institutions. According to the Greens, only this way can the country be saved from corruption, poverty and communism, IPN reports.
In a news conference on March 29, the party’s leader Anatolie Prohnitski said the post of prosecutor general mustn’t be distributed according to political criteria. The Ecologist Green Party is for organizing a contest that will involve European specialists. The same should be done in the case of other institutions that are considered the most corrupt, including the Fiscal Service, the Customs Service, and the justice system institutions.
According to Anatolie Prohnitski, the vital national interest of Moldova is to go towards the West, not the Eats. By their deeds, the Parliament leaders compromise the European integration and throw Moldova into the so-called ‘customs union’ of Putin.
TheEcologist Green Party calls on the MPs to leave aside the party egoism and to formulate a ruling agreement that will help remove the corrupt system in Moldova, initiate real changes and prepare the necessary package of documents for the Vilnius Summit, where the Association Agreement with the EU was planned to be signed initially.
Prohnitski said the current structure of the Government is of Soviet type. It is inefficient and needs to be improved. “Every ministry and division must be of value. Today the ministries are maintained for the sake of the party interests. There are ministries that we don’t need. It is enough to have a smaller department,” he stated, adding that the functionaries’ salary should be comparable to the average salary per country.
TheEcologist Green Party is an extra-parliamentary party. In the last early elections of 2010, the party, which was then called the Ecologist Party “Green Alliance” of Moldova, won 0.08% of the poll and didn’t enter Parliament.
