Air Moldova owes millions of euros in cancellation refunds, its only aircraft is still under repair, while its Air Operator Certificate has been suspended. In late September, Air Moldova’s creditors were supposed to hold a meeting to discuss an “accelerated restructuring plan”, but it got postponed, Europa Liberă reported.

Common charge for water supply introduced in Chisinau
The household and non-household customers in Chisinau will pay a common charge of 10.79 lei/m3 for the public drinking water supply service, as the National Agency for Energy Regulation decided. The new charge is by 0.33 lei/m3 lower than the current charge for household consumers and by 2.50 lei/m3 lower than the current charge for non-household customers.
Greece, Bulgaria and Romania reaffirm their support for Moldova’s energy security
From being a country that used to fully depend on a single source of natural gas, Moldova has been able to diversify its supply sources and become a security provider in the region after piloting the Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnector and the Greece vertical gas corridor to underground warehouses in Ukraine. Moldova’s decision to advance in the European integration process was expressed by Minister of Energy Victor Parlicov, who participated in the trilateral meeting at the level of the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria, Greece and Romania.

Vladimir Bolea: Ukrainian grain dos not remain in Moldova
The transit of Ukrainian grain is beneficial to Moldova’s Railways, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolea said after the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Bucharest announced that a grain corridor through the Republic of Moldova to Romania will be soon opened. The minister assured that the Ukrainian grain does not remain in Moldova and does not prevent Moldovan farmers from exporting or from processing their products.
Dumitru Alaiba presents bureaucracy reduction package No. 4
The elimination of useless bureaucracy and reduction of the administrative and bureaucratic burden on entrepreneurs remain on the current government’s list of objectives, said Deputy Premier Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitization, who on Thursday presented bureaucracy reduction package No. 4 to ease business doing.

According to him, the exchange rate will fluctuate according to the market tendencies. However, if the forecasts about the economic growth and inflation within the corridor come true, there are no risks the exchange rate will evolve with increased volatility. This will stabilize and will create preconditions for development.

Super ESCO program to improve energy efficiency of buildings launched
A program to improve the energy efficiency of public buildings, which will be later managed by the Energy Efficiency Agency, called Super ESCO, was launched on Friday. According to the Ministry of Energy, Moldova Super ESCO will help design the legal concept and plan how this financing mechanism will work in practice, using it in the case of at least two selected public buildings. About US$1 million worth of grant will be allocated for the purpose by USAID.
