29 localities remain disconnected from power supply
Almost 8,000 consumers in 29 localities were still disconnected from the electricity grid this morning. The Ministry of Energy said that due to the precipitation, new accidents occurred in the network during the night, which led to the disconnection of other consumers in Ungheni and Falesti districts, but almost 5,000 were reconnected early in the morning, by 8 a.m.

Sergiu Tofilat about alleged debts to Gazprom: It’s a conflict between shareholders
A team of energy experts and jurists is preparing a strategy that will include the official Chisinau’s actions regarding the debts invoked by Gazprom, said energy expert Sergiu Tofilat, a member of Moldovagaz’s Supervisory Board. According to the expert, Moldova cannot sue Gazprom in an international arbitration court, but the subject of the debts to Moldovagaz will be examined in national courts as a conflict between the shareholders of this company.
Fifteen more cases of bird flu recorded
Fifteen new cases of bird flu were reported in Moldova. Twelve outbreaks were detected in birds from non-professional farms, while the others are in the wild. The authorities set up protection zones of 3 kilometers and surveillance zones of 10 kilometers.
Over 1,000 consumers in Rezina district remain without power

Register of complaints eliminated, deadline for replacing products extended
Cabinet approved a bill to amend 12 normative documents with the aim of facilitating the activity of the business community in Moldova. The register of complaints (register of complaints and suggestions) was eliminated. Thus, any complaint submitted directly to traders or to the Inspectorate will have the same legal value as the one written in the register of complaints.

“From 2024, the USB-C connector has become the standard in the EU for all electronic devices. We will follow suit and prioritize the introduction of this standard in the Republic of Moldova as well”, said the minister.

Natural gas consumption was higher last December
