Ecaterina Mardarovici: We want more from Filip Government

Ecaterina Mardarovici, executive director of the Women’s Political Club 50/50, has greater expectations of the Government led by Pavel Filip. The expert has told IPN she knows that the Government took over in a period of profound crisis and no spectacular results could have been achieved during the first 100 days.

“As citizens, we always want more. I, as an informed person, know the situation in which this Government took over administration – the political and economic crisis situations that are the ingredients of a profound crisis. We wanted to see more concrete actions during the first 100 days,” stated Ecaterina Mardarovici.

The expert noted she approves of the fact that the foreign development partners offered the Moldovans a chance. “I think the Government profits from this chance and adjusts its work style so as to advance. They are condemned to this,” she said.

According to Ecaterina Mardarovici, the adoption of the law that institutes gender quotas and parental leave are an achievement of the Government during the first 100 days in office. “This is an accomplished objective for me and I think that it was attained due to the Government’s commitments as well,” she stated.

The expert approved of the way the Government meets with representatives of civil society from different areas, but noted that she is not contented with what’s going on in the justice sector.
