Ecaterina Mardarovici, executive director of the Women’s Political Club 50/50, offers a credit of trust to the governmental team proposed by the candidate for Prime Minister Pavel Filip, even if she does not know many of the candidates for minister. “I know a part of these candidates, but I don’t know too many of them. I’m not very impressed, but I will try to offer them a credit of trust, as always, because I’m categorically against early elections,” Ecaterina Mardarovici stated for IPN.
The expert said the fact that she does not know the candidates does not mean that they are not suitable. “I consider those whom I know are good. For example, Stela Grigoras from the Ministry of Labor is a professional who knows the social sector very well. I know better the women candidates. I expected that more of the former ministers will be changed, but things stand as they stand,” she stated.
As to the integrity statement that civil society proposed for signing to the candidate for premiership and his team, Ecaterina Mardarovici said they are waiting for Pavel Filip to deliver on his promise and to sign this statement. She noted she would like the governmental team to state publicly that they didn’t break the law and do not have unsolved legal issues.
Ecaterina Mardarovici is sure that if the integrity statement is not signed, the Filip Government will take up in an incorrect way as the relationship with civil society is very important and the NGO sector should not be treated this way.
