The Moldovan Government and the European Commission are going to sign a €7 million agreement for technical assistance to the Regional Development Pilot Program, Info-Prim Neo reports. The assistance will be distributed among the two program components as follows: €2 million will go improve regional statistics and €5 million will be used to develop a number of investment projects and prepare them to be financed, including by conducting feasibility studies. The projects within the Program will cover five areas: water supply and sanitation services; solid waste management; rehabilitation and construction of local and regional roads; infrastructure building and support to rural entrepreneurship; and energy efficiency enhancement in public buildings.
