The Festival of Folk and Religious Music – Easter 2024 will take place on May 8 in the square of the Nativity Metropolitan Cathedral starting at 04:00 p.m. It will involve artistic groups from all over the country and laureates of the municipal Easter folk song festival-contest “For You, God”, IPN reports.

The special guests of the event are Marin Ganciu, Maria Iliuț and the Ethno-Folk Ensemble “Crenguță de Iederă”, and the Ethno-Folk Ensemble “Plăiesii”.

The festival is organized by the Chisinau City Hall in cooperation with the Union of Musicians of the Republic of Moldova. The event comes to capitalize on the treasure of folk religious works and to support the artistic activities of ethno-folk groups of the country, but also to promote young talents.
